So something can’t be popular just because you haven’t heard about it? It’s immensely popular, one of Adult Swim’s biggest hits ever.

Several times when I’ve said that the US population is 3% of the world population I’ve gotten replies saying that can’t be true or that I and dumb for believing obviously false facts or obvious anti-American propaganda… Absolutely pathetic.

The best bong is the one you have with you, same goes for the liquid inside it.

I did lots of drugs in my 20s and knew a lot of people who did even more than me, and the two people who were always the “worst” with their use are the only ones I am aware of who are antivaxxers (In Sweden, it’s not common here at all). They’d lick a literally turd if they saw someone sprinkle some unknown powder on it just for the chance of it making them high in any way, but they would fight to their death if anyone tried to vaccinate them specifically only with a covid vaccine.

Never lived in a house, only apartments with no stairs (inside the apartments) and this is obvious even to me. You can know something without ever having owned or lived with that thing.
M137@lemmy.worldto Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•Trust in Denmark 💯: 2 phones and 1 tablet left unattended in the train4·2 days agoYeah, it’s not the same there as in Scandinavia. My big sister lived in Spain for about 10 years and got robbed several times, while she has lived in Sweden the rest of her life and had never been robbed. I realise this can partially be because she didn’t know what to do right in Spain to not get robbed, but the simple fact that it’s something she (and mostly everyone else) in Scandinavia never need to learn or think about says something about the difference. I’m in no way saying Spain or anywhere else is a worse place or that the people there are worse, it’s just a fact and there’s no other meaning behind it.

Had a similar experience around age 10. Learned that cucumbers generally have a higher water percentage than seawater, 97% to 96.5%. Tell that to a friend of the same age, he says that can’t be true because all the oceans have more water than all the cucumbers in the world, we begin debating and then start fighting about it and a teacher comes by to stop us and asks what’s going on. I explain and the teacher immediately looks at me like I’ve lost my mind, pulls my friend to the side and asks him to leave, takes me to a room and sits down to try to explain how I’m wrong and that I can’t start fights over things that anyone can prove is untrue. A week after I’m sent to a kind of mental health meeting, she immediately understands and looks it up, sees that I’m right, tells me to keep away from talking about “stuff like that” with friends and others my age and also teachers and parents of other kids because it doesn’t matter if I’m right or not, just that I have to think about how others perceive me…
I’m not still mad about it, but can’t deny that it feels wrong and weird.
This is like the Thanos glove with the stones (can’t remember the actual names) but for Nintendo in the 80s and 90s. The only thing missing is a power glove which it’s all mounted on, and an NES Zapper somehow integrated into it all.
Minutes? Hah, amateur!
M137@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•The signatures are still coming and it's already making an impactEnglish61·3 days agoSo did many of the other big AAA devs, then they changed. You’re not making any point at all. And don’t get me wrong, what Larian has done is amazing, and the response from the rest of the AAA game studios is both hilarious and depressing, but sadly not surprising. Most AAA studios got big by doing good, they wouldn’t have gotten that big otherwise. But then either new people came in an fucked them up or the ones already there got greedy and lost touch with reality, it’s the same with many other things.

What it has been used for before says nothing about someone’s wishes for what it can be used for now. Your comment is dumb as fuck.
I gotta say, I’d be pretty obsessed with mine too if I were a woman. I don’t like her or approve of the dumb and often disturbing shit she does, but I can’t fault her for that specific thing.
With how common and popular female sex toys modeled after animal and fantasy creature penises, tongues etc. are this just makes sense. And having known some horse girls in my life, yeah, I’d not be surprised at all to learn many have fantasies like that. I always found the “horse/dragon/tentacle etc. dildo” thing pretty fucked up, I’m sure many of those people (and people in general) would not like it if they heard about “horse/dragon/whatever fleshlight or sexdoll for men”. (Never seen or heard about that existing, but I’m sure it does).
Just a random list of bands I like that are popular, talented, recent and/or currently active:
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard
Dungen
Bombino, Tinariwen and Imarhan
Altın Gün
Home
Future Islands
Glass Beams
I mostly listen to older music, 60s-90s, not for any reason other than that’s the time frame where I find more music that I like. Still lots of good stuff today too though! And that’s by far not a comprehensive list, just the ones I thought of right now.
