    When McDonald’s stopped supplying straws for soft drinks in France, they just printed on the cup - “We’ve stopped using plastic straws. To consume your drink, remove the lid. You’re not an infant”

    The world needs more French

        Hot take but the French hate is undeserved imo. If more nations’ populations were more like the French there would be far less room for corruption.

        Like what if the US population brought the entire country to a screeching halt every time the Supreme Court made a shitty decision. We would have a plan for healthcare reform by the end of the year!

    Never liked carbonated drinks with a straw anyway. Something about it just fucks up the texture

    I unironically do this every time I eat out. More for the sea creatures and the island of plastic but still.

    You gotta be fast because they’ll slap down too many straws and throw them away later.

    i’ve never understood where the idea that plastic has anything to do with the climate came from, do people actually believe they have any relation beyond both involving oil?
