When I became a father, it really struck me how lonely lots of the other (straight) dads were. I made some good friends, but some men remain very emotionally unapproachable. It’s tough for me, I’m a lovey-dovey type of person and I need at least some of the same energy back to maintain a relationship. So not that many straight male friends for me, but the ones I have are much appreciated.

They could go to orgies sometimes just for the drugs and the snacks. That’s how most gays make friends these days.

It’s kind of crazy how it feels like no one is expecting platonic friendships between men.

When I go to text guy friends “how are you” or “what are you doing” the suggested emojis are hearts and kissy lips.

I don’t even use those emojis asking people I’m dating how they’re doing, it’s kind of surreal.
