If something is despicable when your adversary does it, then it is despicable when you do it.

I had to look up that last part, as it seemed counter-intuitive, but apparently deep ocean water bottoms out at 4 degrees C.
Right, but I still wouldn’t call water that is 4 degrees C as warm. How is deep water warm?
Not all HOAs are bad… mine pretty much only exists to take care of our neighborhood pool, they’ve even loosened some of the few restrictions that had been in place since the 70s (restrictions on the type of fencing or sheds has been lifted). And it tends to run with a flat budget so our rates are very low for the area.
Is the Trump admin a good community you are so desperately preaching about?
No, and I never said that good people help good communities. Good people help communities in need.
If this flood hit Mar a Lago and destroyed everything in it’s path and only killed people who are a part of the administration then I would be cheering. The people directly causing the issue would be the ones getting the consequences. However, that’s not what would happen because there are housekeeping staff there who just need a job, there are families who are on vacation there (some likely reluctantly dragged there by a maga spouse or parent). And so, if there’s even a chance that a single innocent person is in need, then every effort should be made to help.
You sound like a preacher who says that natural disasters hit us because of homosexuality.
Good people help communities, no matter who they are. Good people don’t cheer or act smug when had things happen to a community. There are dozens of young girls missing after their summer camp got swept away. It is very possible most, of not all of their parents were trump supporters… none of the children voted for trump. This isn’t a point for your team, these are lives destroyed.
Yes, if this happened in California term trump would make it clear he doesn’t care, and his supporters wouldn’t flinch. But those are despicable people, pity them and show them how we should respond to tragedy.
I’m going to be so sad if my spicy pad Thai ever starts hurting me. My weekly lunches at my local Thai place are some of the happiest moments in my life at the moment.
And I know that sounds sad, but their food really is just that good.
I have never once heard anyone ever refer to an SUV as a ‘Large Engine Vehicle’. Am I just unaware, or is this trump being a complete idiot again?
This isn’t true, you can elect to have the credit at the time of sale.
Source: I just did it with my new-to-me EV
Same… I have a Subaru Crosstrek I’ve been holding on to for 3 months because I knew the used car market is only going to go up.
Hey, you just described church!
There are plenty of sedan options already available, however there is a need for electric vehicles with more cargo space.
Hemp has been federally legalized for 7 years now, but the only industry I ever hear about is CBD and extracted THC. Where are all the hemp farmers growing crops for textiles, rope and paper?
It’s not just tax credits for new cars, they are also getting rid of the Used EV Tax Credit which has helped to keep the prices of used EVs (relatively) lower.
I see your point, but as a counterpoint… I just bought a used Chevy Volt. It qualified for the Used EV Tax Credit because it was under $25k. While shopping around I did notice that most used EVs were right around the $24,999 price regardless of their features and I was fortunate enough to find one that was fully loaded and had very low miles at this price. Without the tax credit this car would probably have been priced closer to $27k but because the tax credit exists if they had priced it that high, it likely wouldn’t have sold.
I feel very fortunate to have found this particular car, at this price, while we still have the tax credit available.
If we just accept these things, they will keep pushing for more.
They are going to do whatever they want to do. They’ve long passed the point of caring if they anger people.
I’m not saying to waste space… but when manufacturers start a pissing match among themselves and say that it’s because it’s what the customers want, we end up with shit. Why does anyone need a screen that curves around the edge of the phone? What purpose does this serve? Who actually asked for this?
I would give up some of my screen area to have forward facing speakers. I want a thicker phone that has better battery life. I also want to be able to swap out my battery. Oh, and I don’t want the entire thing encased in glass. If we’re so concerned about phone size then they should stop designing them so that a case is required.
Oh, I know, and I know it was an absolute dumb thing to even think would be in the realm of possibility, but I was just trying to find something, anything to grab on to and help keep my hope on the ventilator.
The best I’m hoping for now is that trump will do something good on accident, like how he legalized thc in 2018. Sure, he did it in the stupidest way possible, but it’s something.
a proper scholar
She graduated from Brown and is currently working towards a PhD at Oxford, but yes, because she has had a job as an actor she can’t be anything more than that.
given that Elon Musk’s SpaceX has just recorded its fourth failed rocket launch in a row, they will no doubt be paying attention to how Honda approaches its launches.
That’s a bit disingenuous. First, SpaceX has not had 4 launch failures in a row. The Starship has had 4 test flights in a row end in explosion, but SpaceX has had other successful launches between the Starship explosions. Also, the Honda rocket is not comparable to Starship, it is closer to the Falcon.
It is quite ok to congratulate Honda on their accomplishment without even mentioning Musk, much less by drawing false comparisons.
Is nobody going to mention that the chemical is called “dick wad”?
