Why YSK: The term “Genuine Leather” is a marketing term to sell the lowest quality leather possible.
When purchasing a leather product, look for full grain leather or top grain leather instead. These will provide a much higher quality cut of leather that will look and feel much better and last for much longer.
Explain why you wouldn’t. What trait is it that humans have that makes it morally different in this case? Both cows and humans have the capacity to feel and suffer, and want to live.
Interesting question. I don’t see any moral issues with eating animals. But somehow I would not like to eat humans. But why, is indeed a good question.
I could argue that it is illegal but that is not really a moral reason. I guess at the core of it, it just feels wrong to do. Why that is could perhaps be answered by it being an evolutionary advantage that humans feels that way.
But in the end I would also eat a human if it was a matter of survival. I just hope that never happens.
