Westworld. It is a brilliantly self-contained first season with nothing more needed. The subsequent seasons are worse but do not detract.

And Heroes, of course. That was just a mess.

Altered Carbon. Not that I disliked season 2, and I hate that it got canceled (as most sci-fi shows do…), but it felt like a very different format.

Was going to say the same thing. The first season wa s incredibly cool and felt original. The main actor was also perfect for the role.

I think Mandalorian Season 1 was way better than Season 2 (haven’t watched Seasonn 3 though to be honest).

It steadily got worse, so you don’t have to bother. Episode 3 is the only highlight, and it’s basically all a side plot.

The Mandalorian: Season 3, Episode 3

On Coruscant, former Imperials find amnesty in the New Republic and attempt to adapt to a new way of life.

That was Mandalorian? Fir some reason I thought that had happened in Andor

Most of the Marvel shows that were good (not saying they all were) were only really good the first season. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage… Even Loki. Second seasons were ok-to-poor where the first seasons were all really strong.

Surprised I’m not seeing it, so Game of Thrones. The first season felt like watching the book. It was engaging, had stellar performances, sweeping set pieces, outstanding score, everything.

Then, well, time makes fools of us all. …

Season one is alright, I like 5 and 6 actually.

Stranger things season one is the best of that show. Each episode flows great and keeps you going to the next one. It really is a hard one to stop once you start. The later seasons are ok, but never reaching season one greatness for me.

    American Gods.

The first season was incredible, with stellar performances all through it. Then half the cast left the show over some behind the scenes stuff and it just never quite reached the same level again. Made me sad.

Big brother. It was originally just a little odd show about watching normal people interact. Like a human zoo.

Then people realised how famous they could get and it became the absolute worst thing society has ever created.
