They’re slightly long reads, but I think the author’s does a great job of getting across the various ways in which historical material conditions affect pretty much every aspect of life.
Oh I read this one around the time it was published, I remember it being extremely interesting. I’ll have to give it another go, I like re-reading things to see how they “work” for me the next time around
