AEW is back in Toronto for the final show before Forbidden door!
Some of what we’ll see tonight includes:
–Ricky Starks & CMFTR vs. Ass boys, Switchblade, and a well-rested Juice Robinson
–We hear from Miro
–Brody King takes on Andrade
–Kevin Kelly in a rematch against Andrade’s last name
–Swerve vs. Tanahashi
–Nyla Rose vs. Willow Nightingale
–Christian addresses the TNT title
–Powerhouse Hobbs in action
–Darby and Sting reveal who their partner will be for tomorrow
…And more! Will there be an appearance by Okada? Someone else? Only one way to find out…
I think it’s hilarious that Christian is holding onto that title and not letting Luchasaurus hold it.
Hobbs to BCG next please, they need a big monster and he needs to get away from QTV
Yeah, I like QTV but they’re too much of a comedy act for Hobbs. He looked like a million bucks last night.
Crowd seemed pretty evenly split for/against Punk at first. Sounds like they’re mostly against him now.
Really good show. Collision has a really good flow so far, I hope it keeps up.
I, much like that crowd, am conflicted by CM Punk but I can’t help but be enthralled by him, just like I was as a kid watching him, so screw it, I’m into it. Especially if he eventually goes full-heel.
Really pleased to see Bullett Club Gold get the win here - the right call for sure. As somebody who’s been a shameless Guns fan since before they figured it out, to see them looking like absolute stars nowadays is awesome.
Forbidden Door card is so ridiculously stacked, and that’s coming from a person who typically has zero interest in NJPW, super jazzed for tomorrow.
Agreed. I love Collision’s pacing so far. And they’re doing something I’ve always wanted AEW to do: using their superstars more than once per show. Like, that quick promo with CMFTR at the beginning was great. The stars of the show pull casuals in and tell them why they should stay (the main event). It’s something WWE does well but AEW needs to work on (IMO).
And I feel the same about Forbidden Door. Can’t wait for Omega/Osprey.
That’s a very good point. I had never thought specifically how much I miss that but yeah stars throughout the show, and more specifically, storylines that pop up and advance multiple times per show, are huge in making you feel like you’re really getting into a show and making it feel must-watch.
Since no one’s mentioned it yet: I thought Scorpio Sky looked great. That was probably one of his best promos in AEW.
Happy Jay got the pin and about time The Gunns officially joined the Bang Bang Gang.
Damn, Brody’s cannonball (whatever you call it) looked insane.
Poor Tanahashis knees.
Also 😂😂😂 of course MJF does a pretape
I can’t wait for Swerve vs. Tanahashi. I feel like it’ll either be the main event or the match that starts the show.
Give yer balls a tug titfucker
Kevin was so close to saying take-a-shit-a there lol.
