Sarah Andersens stuff is so precious. I love it
Yep it’s really cool
6 hours later he awakes in a bathtub full of ice and one kidney less
“Not again!”
Chaaarleeeeey
Candy mountain, Charliiiiiie
The bath tub has a tray with fancy chocolate and a glass of wine. Lavender petals sit atop the ice.
I’ve been watching The Owl House on Netflix. Its a cartoon targeted at preteens but is woke as hell and I highly recommend it. In it, Witch is a genderless term. Its a race of magical people.
It was so woke as hell, the final season almost got canceled and instead we got like a made for TV movie type thing broken into three parts I believe?
I absolutely adore that show, but I really wish they would have had more time to tell the story.
IRL ‘witch’ is a genderless term too. The media likes to make it seem like ‘witch’ is girls only, but I don’t know any pagans IRL that actually draw that distinction. Wicca in particular calls both genders ‘witches’, and ‘wizard’ is more like an honorific you get for being a particularly wise witch.
My interpretation is that “witch” is more for the cooking type of magic, while “wizard” is more for the baking type. As in, a witch goes by vibes and is generally more improvisational, while a wizard is a nerd who is very exact about everything.
That about sums up the Terry Pratchett Discworld witches and wizards.
I should get around to reading that stuff one day, been hearing good stuff about it every now and then
try telling that to granny weatherwax!
Tell her what? That she’s in a book and isn’t representative of reality?
Lighten up. It’s called a joke. They come in a lot of different forms. What most have in common is some sort of subversion of expectation. You expect me to be able to tell the difference between a real person and a fictional character. I wrote as if I wasn’t able to. The proper response to that would have been to laugh.
Tell funnier jokes then?
Compared to Wicca lmao
I am really allowed the join a coven? 🥹
Covens are for everyone that seeks to harness the forces of darkness 🥰
God I wish that were me
According to Terry Pratchett, the plural of “wizard” was once “war.”
I don’t need a coven. Any magic user by deafult is part of my magic group.
