Ultimately, this film pirouettes elegantly on the surface but stumbles where the narrative heart should beat strongest. It’s a cinematic recital that, while skillfully orchestrated, fails to hit the truly resonant notes expected from a story of vengeance and identity.
She was awesome, and it was very much in the vein of the John Wick saga formula of a light story to set the tone and then finishes with non-stop brutal action. I kept thinking, these movies must be exhausting to film for both the actor and stunt people. If you like John Wick, you will most likely like this one.
I really liked the movie. Although the fights had too many cuts, didn’t really had the John wick oneshot fight feeling
Who cares about reviews. Ana de Armas.
Thank you for sharing here
The funny thing I noticed was that she was extra brutal to the Asian henchmen. It was obviously coincidental.
Fluffy fight film.
Wasn’t there a martial arts flick out of Asia somewhere by the same name, recently?
That looked promising, but this? I couldn’t make it through the first fight scene (first scene, FWIW) without losing all faith in its ability to come back from its numerous wtf moments. 🙄
Yep, a Korean movie from 2023. I really enjoyed that movie. If I had to choose between both Ballerina’s, definitely the Korean one.
Awesome! I’m gonna go hunt that down right now!
I think it’s still on Netflix.
Why would I pay those greedy fucks a single pfennig?
Haha, fair point.
