Yeah I overestimated a teeny tiny bit the number of places in the solar system that have liquid water on the actual surface. My bad.

Ahh I didn’t realize, I thought it was only exposed solid surface. Does that mean every other solar system body with water doesn’t have separate islands/continents? Because if no, then earth should be depicted as one solid shape without the divisions as well. I get it though, it’s for scale.
Why does earth include the oceans though?
This is because of the guy who was shooting oranges at people.
Agreed. The microblogging format is more for one-way communication (i.e. 1 poster to many viewers). Trying to have a discussion or even just reading a discussion on twitter, mastodon, etc. is a terrible experience.
In case you missed it as well, Jiji and Okarun also sang Slam Dunk’s opening and ending songs in S1 when they were trying to win over Momo’s attention.
My firefox just blocks the site from opening outright, flashes a tab that is automatically closed.
As long as it’s crispy, it’s good!
If the pocket is big and spacious enough to feel like an apartment, that’s free housing.
And just like that, all those AI-infused threat detection products go poof.
LLMs can be useful in hyperfocused , contained environments where the models are trained on a specific data set to provide a service for a specific function only. So it won’t be able to answer random questions you throw at it, but it can be helpful on the only thing it’s trained to do.
I quickly skimmed through the entire thing and I still don’t understand what “market-based culture” is supposed to be.
I’m looking forward to this one. Hopefully it’s good.
Yeah, several multi-floor parking buildings around the edges of the downtown area where people can park, then take public transit to move around.
I dunno man, Depp seems like he would stink and have bad breath.
I thought mammals will turn into anteaters?
I’m just about to get back from a 2-week PTO. I’ll try this on some of my coworkers.
I haven’t been unlucky enough with cancellations, but there are a few that are in purgatory, not officially cancelled but no news on getting anything else in the near future. Mindhunter, Extracurricular, and Kingdom to name a few.
I finished Samurai Champloo this week and started Mononoke (the series).
It sounds sacrilegious, but I enjoyed Samurai Champloo more than Cowboy Bebop. The characters and stories are more interesting.
I’m currently on ep 3 of Mononoke. My eyes are still getting used to the animation style as I sometimes miss some details while watching with subs, but I’m getting there. The stories are great so far.
When I browse documentaries on streaming platforms, around 50% are true crime. Then around 20% are about food, 20% about aliens, and the rest comprise the remaining 10%. Producers need to take a break from all the true crime content.
