My wife loves putting all the produce in plastic bags at the store. It has to do with contamination, especially keeping it from touching the conveyer. What solutions would you recommend to avoid these one-time use bags?
✨ Fresh produce, locally produced, or as close as possible. That’s what I’d recommend.
There are also distinctions - some plastics are biodegradable and some recyclable.
Each has their niche. Best would be imo biodegradable for stuff that people would drop around in nature. And recyclable for that stuff where it doesn’t happen as much.
I use reusable produce bags. Some have their tare weight on it but I don’t think its really enough to make a huge difference. Also I figure I’m going to wash my produce anyways.
