I cannot think of any reason they would do this unless they were just actively trying to kill people. We’ve known that asbestos is bad for 100 years and they finally banned the last kind of it very recently. This doesn’t even make sense economically as it’s not even in high demand. It would be cheaper and more economically viable to leave it exactly where it is. Next thing you know they are gonna start putting lead back into gasoline for literally no reason besides “fuck you.”

My stab in the dark is to make asbestos lawsuits worthless.

If there is money to be made or saved by the capital class, you bet your ass Trump will make it happen.

Yeah this is when the wealthy have decided the lower classes are expendable. They don’t actually care about poor people having more babies. They just want rich people having more babies. They would like to see us gone because they think they can offset climate change by getting rid of a lot of us. Too bad for them they use ten times the resources as the bottom 50% of society.

Lead back in gas isn’t that far fetched. I have heard older folks complain about the fact that leaded gas isn’t a thing anymore because “it keeps the engine cleaner”.

Which is complete bs to begin with. Lead was added to fortify benzine for higher compression and to “lubricate” the valves. Modern additives and motor construction makes lead completely unnecessary and even possibly detrimental. It basically was used to mask constructional shortcomings of old motors.

And it’s still used in aviation gasoline, specifically 100LL which is used in many piston-engine aircraft.
