To be fair this kind of “thinking” goes all the way back to the Bolsheviks convincing themselves they’re the party of the proletariat even as they brought back bourgeoi management of factories and busted strikes. They’re just following in the footsteps of their great leaders.

It is kind of fascinating how much they fail to understand the difference.
Almost like most of them don’t actually believe in anything and are just trying to be edgy, then fit with their friend group.
