https://nltimes.nl/2025/04/27/eurovision-bans-non-national-flags-drawing-backlash-lgbtq-advocates Maybe you missed it, but they banned “non-national” flags on stage which means: pride flags, palestinian flags, eu flags. Last year:

This is not the first time the EBU has restricted the use of rainbow flags at Eurovision. Last year, fans were required to leave their rainbow flags at the entrance to the event.

The EBU wants it “non-political” which means states (like Israel) can wash their crimes, while you shouldn’t be allowed protest it.

Just because some people have palestinian flags, doesn’t mean it’s not against their rules. People have been smugling shit into events for as long as events have been a thing.

            They’re not hiding the flags.

It’s allowed. They’re not hiding it from broadcast either, unlike least year.

What they did do was change the rules that performers can only have country flags, nothing else, but they don’t have restrictions for the audience this time - that’s why you can see plenty of actually Palestine flags this year in the audience.

What I’m curious is it they’ll censor audience booing this year.
