Scrolling through the thread, the keyword in “critical support” seems to be more “support” and less “critical”.
Also, right now US is not the country that’s launching drones to blow up the civilian houses in the city I live in, which, somehow, seems to be presented as a “humanitarian” move in that thread. So you might want to rethink how much evil you can allow your “lesser evil” to be.
Just to be clear, I am not an M–L, I’m explaining their position because it’s important to understand when it comes to geopol.
Also, right now US is not the country that’s launching drones to blow up the civilian houses in the city I live in
That’s absolutely true. And on the other hand, the US are also launching drones to blow up civilian houses in other countries, so you will find plenty of people online who are more against the US, just like you rightfully have good reason to want Russia to fall. Ukraine is the theatre of a proxy war between NATO and Russia, and it’s a fucking tragedy. The M–L position is that, being a proxy war, the US prolonged it for their own benefit (it’s not their soldiers and citizens being attacked) until they finally threw Ukraine away and negotiated terms with the enemy. Normally that step happens diplomatically behind doors when they do it to other countries.
Not trying to attack you personally - just genuinely trying to find the “critical” part of the “critical support”. One would think that they’d be more critical of Putin when his goals seem to be openly aligned with Trump’s.
I’m just pointing out the fact that they’re still blowing people up, even if it isn’t happening to you. You don’t get to act like the US is the lesser evil when it’s doing genocide.

Right, they’re just helping Israel murder Palestinian children.
Hi, whataboutism

It isn’t. Both russia and US are evil. There is no lesser one.
