They didn’t play bad (well, except for a few points where Kurt Cobain was being Kurt Cobain), but there’s more to a good concert than just playing the songs.
At pretty much any point in the video you can see Kurt standing perfectly still. Krist Novoselic moved around a little but that was about it. No contact with the audience at all. Barely any words were said.
Denmark had just won the European Football Championship shortly before they went on stage and all Kurt said was something like “We heard you won a sports competition. Congratulations I guess” and that’s dull even for a Gen-X’er who doesn’t care a bit about sports.
But you got a chance to form your own opinion about it, even if we don’t agree.
It’s not really a controversial opinion that they were often awful live. This particular concert (and their only concert ever in Denmark) can be found on Youtube.
Is this really awful though? Sounds pretty rad to me.
Ok then why post the video?

Still awful is pretty hyperbolic
I guess that is a matter of opinion. I wish it was a better concert, but it wasn’t.
I’ve been to hundreds of concerts, only a few stand out as bad and this was one of them.
Really cool you saw Nirvana live though.
I’m glad I did, after all.
