Killer album
So right.
I actually first heard it on the ‘At Death’s Door II’ compilation maybe 30 years ago. I went out and bought all their cassettes the next payday, rent be damned.
Their remix of it, ‘Fear Is The Mind Killer’, was also a really unique idea that I really enjoyed (even with its poor audio quality). I think I pull FITMK off the shelf more than SOANM, which used to be fairly often. It’s great driving music, but my new car liked my Dope CD so much it decided to keep it.
I much prefer Soul of a New Machine over their later stuff, where they went much more industrial than metal. There are bangers on the other albums too, but SOANM is great from start to finish.
