So create a 16th standard as a universal standard that bridges the 15 before it.
I was just clicking on a Reddit link from Google and was hoping that sub wasn’t privatised, turns out the website is down lol.
Was sure from day one when they first announced the chromium pivot that they’d definitely cop out citing the license. Not surprised all these years later.
Anything from Facebook or whatever they wanna call themselves is a no-go for me. It’ll surely have a lot of sheeple flocking to it and some people who need the public exposure (brands, influencers etc) but I’m happy away from that kind of a platform. If they do make it interoperable with something mastodon or kibn that would be interesting.
I remember back in 2014 when I got a laptop with a micro-hdmi port without realising what a dog shit connector it was. The port died within the first month of use (during which it was probably unplugged and plugged a total of 20 times at most) and then I kept trying various tools online until I found this display over IP project and later got a display link dock for my next laptop.
I’ve been trying so hard to get one, sadly where I live, this category is basically nonexistent.
Google is run by a bunch of insecure managers who are incapable of accepting the fact that remote/hybrid works and works well without their overly hands-on approach, and possibly showcases that maybe they’re not that important (atleast compensation wise relative to the actual team they’re incharge of).
I remember trying to apply all my understanding of control flow statements back when I first started python to build something similar. That was definitely inefficient, but boy was I proud of it and it’s complex magnificence.
Imagine paying to be part of a cesspool
“Microsoft has no shame”, this statement stands on its own.
Reddit sure is on a speedrun to best twitter at alienating its core audience with bs changes and attitude.
It really became brain dead and the same as YouTube post dislike removal era. There was no way if it was 20 upvotes with 0 downvotes or a 5000 upvote (via bots) down voted by 4999 people post.
You know what, maybe patents make sense in an ideal world where people rip off the innovator. But right now all we see is big corporations ripping off the little guy, be it ever greening patent tactics and monopolies like the kind insulin has been subject to or patent trolls stifling innovation. All patents seem to have accomplished like copyright strikes on YouTube are allow bullies to thrive.
Ah yes pre-IPO wallstreet pleasing. If I remember correctly wework also pulled this, and so did a few others.
They really should focus on selling pyramid schemes, because all their pitches reek that energy and desperation.
