Seven books are £5.00
Maybe it could’ve been “Yeah the booze. Purge the snacks. Keep that’s handy”
I’m using Authentik for the same reason lol. It was just the first one I tried. I think the corpo feel comes from the very boxy, flat theme that so many companies use. I’m 99% sure you can change it but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. Other than that, it’s been pretty good so far though I haven’t used it much yet
I thought about using it but I’ve heard good things about Authentik so I’m currently giving that a try at the moment while I’m rebuilding my server infrastructure. Though Authentik does give that corpo vibe when using it so I might not stick with it just because of that
Still surprised it’s worth $200. I thought it’d be worth a few cents or maybe a few dollars at most
ralakus@lemmy.worldto Cast Iron@lemmy.world•New to this. How oily should my pan be between uses?English7·1 month agoI’ve had a few cast iron pans and a carbon steel pan for a few years now. I just wash them with dawn dish detergent (make sure whatever soap/detergent you use doesn’t contain lye) and a sponge until all the food bits are gone and the water cleanly skids off the pan. After, I shake the water off and hand dry with a cotton dish towel. I don’t put oil on them unless I’m gonna store them for months at a time.
You mentioned your pans are new so the water may not slide off like a well used and seasoned pan so just scrub and rinse until the food bits are off. If there are any difficult bits, you could buy a plastic dish scraper or just gently scrape at it with a metal spoon. Don’t worry too much about damaging the pan when washing; cast iron has lasted many families many decades of cooking and abuse.
Just make sure not to drop it or heat/cool it too quickly and it’ll be fine
Goodbye
Heavily modded Kerbal Space Program. It’s so relaxing building rockets and going on complex interplanetary missions for science

I’ve had so many close calls with people on ebikes and escooters without helmets. I’ve never seen a Surron rider weave through pedestrian traffic without going really slowly or fully dismounting. I’d get one myself if they weren’t so expensive. They look so fun

Now that’s a rad price if it were to come to the West as it is. But it won’t.

ralakus@lemmy.worldto A Comm for Historymemes@lemmy.world•"Just some old junk I found in the attic, toss it in the trash compactor"English3·3 months agoThere’s also the fact that it’s a pre-1986 machine gun. Machine guns manufactured after that period are illegal to own as an unlicensed civilian in the US. The fact that it’s a legal machine gun adds a few zeros to the overall value. Beaten up M16s receivers (the serialized bit of an AR-15) can go for over $10000 alone and you still need to build the rest of the gun on that receiver. All of that money just to have a legal machine gun in the US
I would agree normally, but at a larger scale, it would cost insurance more to replace everything leading to higher rates and possibly refusal of insurance due to the risk associated.
In only 25% of the world
LaurieWired has good content. She does lots of computer science/history related content which is really interesting
