How can you still hate it? It’s been enough time to discover that it’s the greatest love story since Sam and Frodo.
It’s more of a friendly suggestion to try something else. At the current going rate liberals will have to join leftists in being entirely irrelevant. Being the latter I’m used to it so I treat current events as a bit of a shakeup at the top. It doesn’t change anything about how rich keep getting richer at the expense of everyone else at an increasing rate since the 70s. If this doesn’t change then nothing else will. Might not be too late everywhere but good luck convincing anyone after both right and liberals demonised left for decades now.
This thing has been tried all over the world already and has been proven to be ineffective. It’s a broad topic I don’t want to get to but to put it simply: it doesn’t work because in most countries we’ve already had supposedly „correct” politicians and they didn’t do that much to make lives of all people better. It usually boils down to big cities vs province and province has had enough of being marginalised because they can no longer afford to pay their bills. There is no amount of calls to save democracy that will convince anyone to change sides at this point so it only serves to further polarise political discourse.
It’s dangerous to focus on words rather than actions. It’s been how most of the political elites (regardless of affiliation) have been behaving for so long that it’s hard not to pick up the pattern. Fico probably wants to score some points from EU-sceptics and PS screams bloody murder because that’s how they score points. Things are bleak and boring at the same time.
If he says he’s top 20 player and it turns out he bought that account then what does that mean for the credibility of his other supposed achievements? Oops.
There’s a big disconnect between what politicians say and what they do. They say things to get support and then do whatever they want. Fico is perfectly capable of doing this to his own voters too.
Fico has more leverage if Slovakia is in the EU. Slovak opposition seems a bit desperate, it went similarly in Poland.
TikTok had to make Trump look good as he presumably saves it so they did that stunt. In the end both sides know TT has to agree to selling majority stake because it isn’t anything China didn’t do to US firms multiple times already.
Imagine how much better LibreOffice would be if a fraction of what EU / European governments spent on MS Office went there. It’s your own damn fault for not fostering alternatives.
This post is overrated, you Philistine.
To me it’s gambling even if you can’t exchange it for currency because the things players are gambling on have worth to them and psychological mechanism is exactly the same. If the law didn’t catch up in some place yet it doesn’t make it any less wrong.
TikTok allows you to set likes and favourites being private/public separately and you’re allowed to share nothing but knowing Meta there will be no opt out.
There’s no way to trade loot boxes between players but there’s gambling on consoles in the same way as on PC. Even if you count Steam Marketplace transactions fee there’s definitely plenty of EA Football Club players on consoles offsetting this.
Great show but maybe don’t do cliffhangers if it takes 3 years for a new season to be produced.
Besides the ad revenue on TikTok is almost non existent even compared to Youtube. It was never a platform that you could realistically become successful with even if you got views.
If TikTok was widely known for being bad for making money then maybe it pulled some people who didn’t care about money like on old YouTube.
Also, presidential elections in May. They have to one-up PiS in being PiS because it sells and a copy is the only thing they can come up.
I think we haven’t seen anything other than the shape of the thing so it sounds pretty alarmist. Remember all the sensors packed into Joycons that nobody uses anymore? It enabled stuff like Nintendo Labo and other neat toys. We’ve only seen that the new Joycons have an optical sensor so far. Who knows what else is there and how is it going to get used.
In man’s honour I have smoked a gram of weed and watched Eraserhead for the first time. I wasn’t prepared to see a heavy hitting movie about raising an infant with a rare disease. It’s amazingly realistic and funny when it needs to be too. That scrambled egg taco part at the end was superbly done.
They can moderate by boosting certain opinions and downranking others. It doesn’t need fact checkers because it’s platform owner interests and not facts that matter.
