Exactly! The disqualifier for infinity isn’t the fact that it’s a concept, it’s because it doesn’t behave like a number.

Gaming@lemmy.ml•When was the last time you actually laughed while playing a game?
3·7 hours agoLast month I fell into Cyberpunk 2077. There is a lot of humor in that game, but I remember getting a call at 2 in the morning to pick up dick melting off guy and I nearly fell out of my chair laughing.
Not seeing it. Maybe you could quote me saying that?
When did I say that?
All numbers are concepts.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's your favorite conspiracy theory?
5·2 days agoThe unfortunate paradox of using examples of secrets is that by definition that secrecy failed. A completely successful conspiracy never even becomes a theory.
That sounds like a good place to start!
Kinda, but smaller. Usually printed out and distributed manually.
Too much maga in the world. Not enough Zines.
Second issue. Dig around in their site for the first one.
Old magic from the before before times.
Take that imagined taste and make it about 30% worse then you’re in the ballpark.
This is why you never see a poor person with millions of dollars.
I thought they were extinct.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's your favorite conspiracy theory?
251·3 days agoThe secret service accidentally killed JFK after the magic bullet. It explains the unlikely 4 shots from Oswald. It explains why the kill shot acted differently than the magic bullet. It explains why there were reports of the smell of gun smoke on the ground.
But most importantly it explains how the conspiracy could actually be kept a secret. If a secret service gun delivered the killing shot and that became public knowledge, the secret service wouldn’t exist today. It’s a fuck up so collosal it actually has the potential to keep everyone’s mouths shut. It would have been an even greater embarrassment on the world stage at the absolute peak of tension in the cold war.
I could see a bunch of government men in shady rooms agreeing to keep the secret, the president was already shot. He probably would have died already from his wounds. Oswald was technically correct when he called himself a Patsy.

Well said. Another example is (infinity)+1=(infinity)
If you subtract infinity from both sides you’re left with 1=0. Which is impossible. Similar things happen with multiplication and division.
