I’m sorry but no. SimpleX is slow, buggy, unreliable, battery draining, confusing, ugly, etc. The only thing it beats signal in is its admin/moderator privileges that Signal lacks and anonymity with no number. but truly, I have been a long time simplex user and it has such a long way to go

it’s okay. no problem
the cap is 1000 per group but this group will not ever get to that size. also your latter statement is misinformed. all messages are still e2ee regardless of how many connections you make
I feel you but its no different than discord groups or such
ya it’s ok sorry my man I take it back
yup. all welcome, we encourage it. you will not be turned around.
you’re wrong but also obnoxious

Signal is as well, and it doesn’t stand the same in terms of security or privacy. Yes, self hosting is a huge pro but their huge leaks of metadata in transport of messages, among many other reasons, keeps signal as my preferred communication medium for this.
Very true, but Signal is easier to set up and use, and a lot more secure and private. 😉
This was greatly articulated. I think a Signal group chat would allow for just a casual or “right to be forgetten” discussion platform since disappearing messages exist. It is a niche communication preference, and many people want to get more from Signal if they’re entire circle uses other platforms like Whatsapp instead.
Why is this being down voted?
yes. there’s a vegan one I am a part of and a privacy group I run. but not many else that aren’t spammers or scammers trying to sell you stuff.
