We are quick with removing them. The three I removed didn’t even have a chance to latch on, but I have had tick bites in the past. Fortunately, not every tick carries the bacteria and it has to hang on for an extended period. That’s why it’s key to check for them afterwards. Either way, the idea is to watch for symptoms like the bulls eye rash after a bite and the seek medical attention ASAP if those symptoms appear.
For sure. Our cub scout pack just had a camping trip and in one hour I had removed three of them. We are in NJ and they are everywhere.
That’s awesome. In my case I have to wake up at 5-5:30 if I want to get a 1 hr hike in.
Go do it! I was pushing it off for months and now I am waking up when I want to (before 5:30am), feeling better about myself, and I’ve shed a few pounds. Just take it slow, and I recommend AllTrails to keep track of adventures.
Even if the servers don’t. I’d rather deal with downtime (aka forced detox😅) than the ads, the negative trolls, the dumb UI that constantly pushes their app, and so on. Reddit only works because it has so much fresh content. If that breaks down than so will it.
He will probably attract the Joe Rogan and Andrew Tate fans if he hasn’t already.
My main languages are Ruby and Python (does SQL count?), but I dabble with Javascript when needed.
I have been liking Ruby more and more because of how easy it is to use and the community support it has. I have really appreciated RSpec, and that’s the main reason I enjoy it over Python.
I really want to get into Rust because it is so different from Ruby. I am also a strong supporter of adopting a different language if you need to. I am not a fan of introducing types into Ruby or Python because there are other languages that have it built in and also the dynamic nature of those languages are their strengths.
I’m not sure what you’re getting at. Isn’t the point of the post is that it is a good thing that people who are intolerant of perspectives that challenge their own are avoiding Lemmy.
In general I tend to avoid people who are incapable of entertaining other viewpoints. They tend to stubbornly defend their frail counterpoints and then resort to childish antics when people don’t agree with them.
They would rather be wrong than accept that they are wrong.
I’m in north jersey and it has been there since I’ve been a kid. It also doesn’t spread that quickly, but it does thrive.
edit: it is.
