I’m a bit sad that I’ve stuck to my guns on completely jumping ship from Twitter (and Reddit after the API fiasco) and so many people who said they would just … didn’t. It was an ad for white supremacy on Shitter that finally made me nope out.
I was working with optimizing memory on my pentium III lately for when i want to run more arcane dos games, and actually switched video cards because the BIOS on an nvidia card was so big that it was making it hard to map memory to that area… fun times.
How are Intel’s drivers? My new PC has an A750 because I like to live dangerously. It’s been great in Windows for the few games I want to play (the older stuff that has performance issues with Arc I’m largely not interested in or can play on my old PC)
I work for a college. We use our internal link shorteners to make sure a given link points at the latest version of a resource and measure engagement by seeing what is the best way to get important information to our students and faculty. (Did people actually click on that announcement in our LMS?)
They’re terribly useful for us.
I’ve been using it in lieu of google maps for quite some time now and it seems to work fine. It no longer assumes I’m The Blues Brothers and direct me to drive straight through shopping malls.

I noticed Kirk didn’t have a “thing” in TOS. It’d be funny if he at least thought having a warp catch phrase was stupid and didn’t do it in SNW.
Civilly? I deleted my reddit account but I really don’t feel aggrieved by people who stayed there.
One will be TOS style, one will be TNG, and one will be DSC. Just to mess with us.

I agree with a lot of your concerns. Two medical staff taking drugs and beating a mob of Klingons senseless with little hesitation and no apparent ramifications is horribly, horribly out of tone with what I’ve come to expect from Trek.
Spock is another issue. I’m fine with him undergoing growth and having a full character arc - but I really don’t see this Spock becoming the one in TOS — a Spock who disobeyed direct orders from Starfleet and was reluctantly able to potentially kill two crew members goes on to have the disastrous experience as leader in the Galileo Seven? Best I can see is he actively goes as hard as he can on suppressing his human side in the near future but that wouldn’t make him suddenly forget what emotions, illogic, and all that human baggage feels like when he’s interacting with humans later in his career.
(And for the record - I really enjoy Ethan Peck as Spock and watching his struggles with his emotional control. I just don’t feel like it’s the same character as in TOS and don’t see how he’d get there.)
