Another problem with Bible (and other similar books) is that it doesn’t make sense that omnipotent god would communicate to humans trough vague book that would have many different interpretations and possibly have it’s meaning changed a bit with translations to different languages. At least there are Christians who accept that events from Bible never happened.

Linux is amazing for games thar don’t have anti-cheat and I don’t play those games. Saying that Linux gaming isn’t ready is just stupid at this point. And for emulation it might be better than Windows.

Because religion is all about indoctrination. When I came out as atheist my dad said that all my ancestors were Christians and I’m stopping that tradition. I don’t care, if they belived that doesn’t mean that I also have to belive and just because it’s a tradition it doesn’t mean it should continue. He also said that goal of atheism is to make people lose their identity (he and many others in my country think that identity is just religious and natinoal identity, they also think that those two things are same). After that I had to explain to him what is identity, how it’s impossible to lose it and that there is no agenda behind atheism.

Your experience from 80s is similar to my experience now with Switch games (it’s not the same only because I’m not a kid). Download times do suck but I have a really simple solution for them: I simply do something else until it’s finished. And there are great games that don’t take much space space on your storage, Balatro is first one that comes to mind.

You should be able to find DLC and update files on the internet (you need both), can’t remember where I found them. It shouldn’t be too hard because they’re out for a long time now.

I emulated Mario kart 8 deluxe for some time. You can add DLC but can’t play online.

Probably won’t buy Switch 2 because consoles are really expensive in my country, main reason why I bought Switch lite and not normal Switch is price. From TTYD source code it seems like Switch 2 will be 4K so price will most likely be out of reach for me.

Recently switched to NixOS.

My current install is around 1 year old.

Problems I had were because of software not being on the latest version, not updates. Things just work on Arch for me. Only thing that ever broke was Xorg because of Nvidia drivers but that’s pretty easy fix.

Arch based distros are pretty stable in my experience. I actually had much more problems on distros like Debian and PopOs than Arch.
