Why doesn’t the dev post here like he did for reddit?

Just like on boost for reddit, youtube changed their api for this, that’s why it no longer works. Ruben is gonna have to implement an old youtube player just like most apps are doing to allow youtube videos to play.

Boost for lemmy is now out, might wanna redo that poll.

This all has to do with the distributors, bravecto any size is $83 where I work, it used to be $73. In the long run its still better than the stuff that’s been out in the market for a long time now.

So far liking it. Completely different ui and feel compared to thunder and connect.

you fail to realize that the dev barely did any work to the app, it’s literally a direct port from reddit to lemmy, yet he’s recharging people money at a very steep price too and he’s running ads on the app when the official lemmy site has NO ads nor does it’s official app Jerboa.

Exactly, like I’ve poited out before there are better apps our there already, not to mention the official app has no ads and asks for no money while sync does.

To remove ads most apps would charge $5 at the highest, really $20 to remove ads…no thanks.

The subscription model is not a great idea considering lemmy is not as popular as reddit.

Yeah but with ads, there’s a few better options out there that have already been better developed and maintained that are ad free.
