That’s a polite way to say “we’re really screwed now”
That’s a polite way to say “we’re really screwed now”
That’s the trade off for a larynx capable of speech
Close enough for the girls I go out with
As Yoda says, “start or start not, there is no try 14 times and then the problems randomly fixes its self just as the killer breaks the windows or whatever”
But also worth remembering that kid who made a nuclear reactor in his shed. Ai wasn’t around back then, but if it had been then, maybe, juuuust maybe….
Yeah, that’s immediately jarring
Or to put it another way, “EU and rest of the world, and most of the US wants literally anyone other than the felonious senile tango man to be in charge of the big red button”
Did you know that if you take all your blood vessels out and lay them end to end, you’ll die!
I’d think that the smart ones will desert as soon as they can
Golden Fool by Gome? (Probably not, but brilliant track anyway)
That’s what she said!
Aha, I lose. I was literally about to comment “urge? He’s the damn president, he should be doing more than urging them to look at it!” until you made me realise it wasn’t the Georgia that has to listen to him
In fairness, he probably can’t remember it
That’s the most useful thing anyone’s said so far, thanks. My current mini is hard enough to get at, as it’s under the back of the desk, so I’ve used this, as even though the power button is in a vaguely accessible place, there computer isn’t. Why would I want it taking up room on the top that could be used for synths I can’t play, and coffee I haven’t drunk?!
Ah, if I used a Mac keyboard then I’d probably have known that. I generally don’t really like Mac peripherals, I’ve got a full size mechanical keyboard and a thumb wheel mouse. I get that it’s not an insurmountable problem, but there’s only one face out of the six that you can absolutely guarantee isn’t going to be immediately accessible, so why put the only button on the whole machine on that face, as opposed to next to all the I/Os?
It looks like the foot/base bit isn’t tall enough to get a finger to the button without lifting the thing up. That seems daft to me. You’re having to move the whole unit about to push a button
I’m not an apple hater, I have a Mac mini. However, our power goes out fairly regularly in the winter, and it’ll get old having to get the thing out of the back of my desk at start it again pretty bloody quickly, it’s an obviously daft place to put it.
Woks with a proper round bottom, angling a pan on the heat to baste, catching alcohol vapour to flambé without using a lighter etc, charring veg on the flame, there’s a bunch of little things. That’s why I say I’d like enough information to make an informed decision, rather that just “they’re bad! (Unless you have an extractor maybe)…” Just how bad are they when used with an extractor? Does the health risk justify the high outlay for a comparable quality stove? Also, in my experience with them, unless the induction hob is a high-end one, the control isn’t granular enough. 5 or 8 heat settings aren’t fine enough for sugar work and the like. I know that’s just a matter of time and probably doesn’t affect a lot of folks.
As does having a livable planet for the rest of us, and being able to exist as anything other than a rich white straight-in-public guy in the US. How so much has ended up in the hands of an orange nazi dementia patient in a first world country is pretty astounding
Were they not assholes during the match? Blatantly ignoring the minute’s silence for the Spanish flood victims, and anti-Palestinian chants during the game were what I read. I can see how that might get people’s goat a bit
