I picked up a little bartop cabinet from a local arcade convention a few years back for a few hundred bucks. Ended up ripping out the Pandora’s Box (overseas piracy device with a bunch of dumped ROMs) and threw a Raspberry Pi into it. Got everything wired up with RetroPi… then realized I needed to add more buttons.
It’s been in that state for years lol
We can discuss where the money comes from, but the idea isn’t pie-in-the-sky wild. I don’t disagree with you.
It makes sense if you think about it (assuming my thoughts are correct, I’m in the US). If you’re employed, you are contributing through your taxes. Just because you’re unemployed, it doesn’t mean your contributions pause. Now, should they? That’s a good question, but the current implementation makes sense. I imagine it does incentivize people to look for employment.
Man, Omnifocus (and most of the Omni suite) seems so good, but it’s so expensive. I absolutely am not opposed to paying for services, but a $10/mo subscription service or a $50+ app seems crazy for a task tracker.
I’m not minding it. The instance (or app itself) seems slow, but overall okay. I’m just hoping the content shifts away from talking about how bad Reddit is and more about providing its own content.
Megaquarium, Big Pharma, Bus Simulator 21.
All of them are solid.
