Hell, even in the outskirts of Tokyo most people have cars and drive.
That said tho, there’s no excuse for urban city centers to not be walkable.

That mistake has been made with life saving vaccines and other treatments before.
Kagi is the one I use. It’s paid, so they don’t skew the search results or shove ads in your face.
There’s also searxing but I didn’t want to go through the effort of self hosting.
