Nah, Dawkins was buddies with Epstein.
Just so I’m clear as well, I disagree with you on that most phones are easily destroyed :) People are just overly worried about destroying their phones, which is pretty unlikely to happen, because repairing them is annoying and expensive. So they use a case, but it really isn’t all that necessary to do so.
I’ve had my phone caseless (with screen protector), and dropped it plenty of times, for 4 years and haven’t broken it once. I’m also not too worried about breaking it though because it’s easily repairable. If all phones were I think people would forgo a case more often.
I think most phones are plenty durable, people are just paranoid.
And repairs are too expensive/risky. I think more repairable phones is a better aim than more rugged ones.

Huh, this is almost exactly how I prepare oatmeal, funny coincidence 🙃

Hazel@piefed.blahaj.zoneto Books@lemmy.world•What book(s) are you currently reading or listening to? September 09English6·28 days agoI read It’s Lonely at the Center of the Earth yesterday and loved it. I’d like to read more GNs, I mostly read manga, but there doesn’t seem to be many realistic fiction GNs? I’m not that interested in fantasy/supernatural stuff usually. So if anyone knows any good realistic GNs I’m open to suggestions 😋
I’m also reading Creation and Anarchy by Agamben, but I’ve been a bit distracted by Silksong so it’s taking a while, whoopsie~
I use the Fjällräven/Specialized (now seems to be rebranded as ‘Hoja’) hip pack for this.
It’s just about big enough to fit an average book, my headphones, and some miscellaneous stuff. But if needed it’s also expandable so you can fit a jacket, or groceries on the way back etc.
It has completely replaced the backpack I used to carry everywhere (which I carried because of wanting to bring a book).

Is it though? Not a problem I’ve ever encountered, unlike dangerous ebikes. And the latter causes actual injury, not just a minor nuisance, so I wouldn’t call it an apt comparison either.
If, however, the commonly held opinion is that animals in restaurants are as big a problem as dangerous motor vehicles… I guess that explains the lack of response at least.
I’m aware of the source, where’d you think I sourced the image? lol
And I didn’t accuse him of diddling kids, I just said he was buddies with Epstein, or the pedo apologist New Atheist movement at least. Seems like the very least he could’ve done is asking more questions.
