I mean…if that’s their thing…don’t kinkshame!
5 - a cheerfully written letter addressed to the slain party’s significant other, describing in glowing terms how the slain party feels like they have a new lease on life ever since kicking some unnamed and dreadful disease, and how they can’t wait for this last job to end so they can come back home and start being the husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend/whateverfriend that they always wanted to be.

Well, what are you expecting, in return? Are people not replying/reacting to your posts? Maybe you’re posting in the wrong community. Really, what are you wanting to see that you’re not seeing?
Fletcher@lemmy.todayto Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•All this AI nonsense is an attempt to capitalize on the mere act of human thinking6·1 day agoAnytime you use YouTube, you’re using AI. Anytime you use a web browser that gives you ‘search suggestions’, you’re using AI. Those are just two very simple examples. You’re sorely mistaken if you think AI isn’t being forced upon you every single day.
Fletcher@lemmy.todayto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's something you once had a lot of respect for but now have no respect for?581·2 days agoI would have to say organized religion. I grew up in a pretty strict christian home, but as I grew older I began to see how much of what I had been told was just patently false and designed to manipulate and control. I have done a lot (decades worth) of studying and reading and I’m confident that the conclusions I have arrived at are correct. Of course, your mileage may vary.

Trump could throat-punch a homeless orphan in the middle of a church on Christmas Day and there’s not a single judge in this country who would send him to jail. The man is untouchable. He’s been convicted of 34 felonies and hasn’t spent a single day in jail. He was impeached TWICE during his last term and still hung on to the presidency.
The only thing we can do is wait for the evil fucker to die of old age. That’s it.

It’s pretty much a thankless job 80% of the time - which is why I have to take my joy from the act of creating something and NOT from the approval and appreciation of my players. It’s sad that it has to be like this, but it’s always been this way - at least in my experience.
I cry (or at least feel a very strong impulse to cry) from good stories all the time. If the stories you’re partaking of aren’t making you feel something, then I feel as though they’re a waste of time and not really well written.
I think the d100 is so lots of people can add their own entries. :)
