I’m an electrical engineer, and I’ve always considered any field where your design work makes you directly liable for the safety/well-being of others earns you the title of “Engineer”.

“Engineering” as a verb is something most anyone can do. Working to understand a problem and then developing a solution is a universal joy for people of any age and skill.

I’d build puppets and make videos. Just for fun.

There are some very simple, affordable little drum machines out there that are a blast to just sit and bang around on. It’s a good way to lightly start getting into rhythm and timing. It’s also something that won’t demand a lot of dexterity. It’s an unconventional answer, but it’s also something that can get you rolling on music without needing to read sheet.

Or if guitar seems up your alley but chording seems intimidating, bass guitar is a great intro to that world. You can learn all the fundamentals of guitar, and if it becomes natural for you, switching over to guitar is almost seamless.

If you aren’t failing you aren’t really working/learning.

Life is entirely built on failing, learning, moving onward, and doing it all over again. Every day.

If you are stressing out about failing, you are focused on the wrong thing.

I’d bet real money that the majority of stupid/unbearable/boring people you meet in life are the sort of people that never learn from their mistakes.

Yer gonna fail. It’s happening right now. Learn something.
