Varying industries make it hard to set an overall standard, but even seeing it to whatever today’s highest ratio in the s&p 500 would be a start.
And it should be illegal to gamble privately in the stock market. Instead, ALL citizens should be made equal shareholders in the entire economy, and all companies should be made to pay a portion of the profits to be invested into a general fund, and the gains paid out to every single member of the public.
