1894-nowadays that’s about $3-4k. Granted a very very nice bike that’s around par, but most bikes are wayyyyy cheaper
I guess before mas production of cars, bicycles were the aggressively marketed luxury consumerist product.
Funny, that simple mower from the late 1800s is the exact same design we had in the early 2000s. I guess great and simple designs don’t change much. It worked great as a push mower!
