Meanwhile, in Ontario, Canada, the premiere Doug (yes, my brother was that crackhead) Ford has used his powers to order cities to dismantle their bike lanes.
The 2 hour city of Toronto: people are not welcome here.
oh you are welcome in toronto, just be rich enough to own a car or call ubers all the time.
How hard is it for an American family with two “desirable” skill sets (we’re both software engineers) to emigrate to Denmark? Asking, uh… for a friend.
Well, their way of counting is all messed up, and so is their language, so it will probably require slot of patience. That or a lot of schnapps.
Source: Have been to Denmark.
Probably not harder than any other country, if you’re highly educated.
I’m sorry to say, but if you’re not an EU citizen it’s quite hard actually. Denmark has super strict immigration laws, unfortunately. But if you get a job in Denmark, you can have them help you apply for a work visa. Once you have the visa, the actual practicalities of living in Denmark are not too difficult, although there will definitely be some obstacles on your way.
You can check out Travelin’ Young on youtube, if you actually want to know.
The irony is that this particular area has some of the most traffic and multilevel car parking of anywhere in the city… Copenhagen is great but not perfect.
the old and infirm? public transportation, and a good set of walking shoes, oh, you can’t walk, well fuck you, no cars allowed buddy, you live where you fall now
If only Denmark had a robust social safety net to take care of elderly and infirm people who need that sort of help.
Oh wait, they do!
Too bad Brexit happened, or you could possibly take your family to Denmark. :(
I wish.
lol what a stupid thing to say.
Robust public transportation is much friendlier to those with disabilities than being required to drive a car. And luckily they make the Canta for those that don’t want to use public transportation. Try getting away with one of those in America or Canda without getting run off the road by some white trash in and Silverado.
