I wish that I could build spaghetti bases, they look way better than a main bus. Sadly if I try to do it I’ll eventually get pissed at the disorder, and the “goddammit I need to pull a belt from A to B but I bloody can’t because everything is a mess here” following it.

The fun thing about buses and trains is that they allow you to have little pockets of spaghetti within your overall more organized system.

I always start by building a main bus, then, well, engines are already produced here, so I might as well and oh look, I already have a supply of iron here, so there’s no reason to not aaaaand the spag strikes again

Dosh Doshington’s sushi belt is my favorite for this - he’s being rather disciplined because he’s on camera but there are a lot of times he compromises his initial plan “Well the sulfuric acid is right there… there’s no real reason for me to not just pipe it to the battery assemblers.”

This. All these systems for how to design a base efficiently (like a well stuctured main bus or city blocks) end up making the base look boring and samey imo.

I like it when I feel like an AdMech Tech-Priest.

“The machine spirits have blessed this forgotten coal burner since time immemorial. Now, in it’s 8 millionth process, it is unwise to interfere, lest unforessen complications arise.”

Innovation is tech heresy, we will continue doing things the same stupid way we always have. Praise the Machine God!

This is me in Satisfactory. I try to plan my whole layout but inevitably forget one or two critical pieces, and the spaghetti commences.
