Duh
I paid $30 for a burger and onion rings at a local burger place. Big chains weren’t affected as hard as one offs. They definitely felt it.
If it affected mom and pop stores it’s only because they’re not paying as much and can’t keep staff, because businesses with less than 60 locations are exempt from the wage increase.
Or, they’re claiming it affected them so they can rip off their customers and blame it on the “communists”.
There are places alllllllll over California right now where you can get a burger and fries or onion rings or shit another burger for way less than $30. This includes giant chains and tiny mom and pops. Sounds like that place just sucks at finances or running a business or both lol.
Ya got ripped off dude. A 30$ burger has nothing to do with wages and everything to do with either greed or maybe ingredients, but mostly greed.
I gotta have my A5 Wagyu burger with imported organic Italian Spinach, Handcrafted Kewpie mayo, German Mustard, and Certified Small-Farm Chilean Tomato
You can make fun of A5 Waygu but I draw the line at Kewpie mayo.
Looks like someone isn’t familiar with the actual bill and just made incorrect assumptions OR is arguing in bad faith and pretending that “one offs” are actually affected to misinform people.
Existing law defines terms for these purposes, including defining “fast food restaurant” to mean a limited-service restaurant in the state that is part of a national fast food chain.
See the text of the bill.
Lol a good brasserie burger at a sit down restaurant here in France would cost you less and be much better. This is highway robbery
