I would like to be able to use multiple accounts simultaneously with the option of viewing individual timeslines or an “everything” timeline. On the Everything timeline, the UI would indicate which account is showing (and therefore commenting) that particular post.

For reference take a look at the Liftoff! app - it adds a "via " next to the communtiy name *eg !fediverse@lemmy.world via sh.itjustworks *- indicating fediverse community on lemmy.world instance coming from my sh.itjust.works account.

Purpose - for accounts on defederated instances, or on instances with communities being blocked on some other instances

Right now lemmy backend only supports a single ‘subscribed’ list, that would be like a music player only having a single playlist. I know people are using multiple logins just to have more flexibility in managing their lists.

As I say the main purpose for me is to be able to use instances that have become defederated from my “home” instance or to access communities that are being blocked for various reasons. What I’m proposing is a client side change on Voyager to support simultaneous multiple logins to different instances - like Liftoff! does currently.

Have you tried liftoff? I don’t use it anymore but it made having accounts at defederated instances seemless.
