minus-squareVikingHippie@lemmy.wtflinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down1·2 years ago But can you combine words to make up (gramatically correct) words on the fly? Absofuckinglutely 😁
minus-squareVikingHippie@lemmy.wtflinkfedilinkarrow-up1arrow-down1·2 years agoSome people will always get annoyed when you play with language, doesn’t matter how you do it or with which language. English just happens to be exceptionally malleable and fun to play with, compared to most other languages including my native Danish 🤷
minus-squareVikingHippie@lemmy.wtflinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down1·2 years agoSome aspects of it, such as the fact that the only way to know the en/et of nouns is to already know, indeed suck but I wouldn’t say the language as a whole sucks. It’s an ok language, English is just a much better one 🤷
minus-squareraspberriesareyummy@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1arrow-down2·2 years ago quantity of words has nothing to do with the potential of playing with a language / double meanings tc don’t believe every website you find in a google search
minus-squareVikingHippie@lemmy.wtflinkfedilinkarrow-up1arrow-down1·2 years ago You’re correct that it’s far from the only factor, but it DOES help. Likewise 🤷
