I wrote a plugin for embedding MuseScore sheet music files (.mscz/.mscx) in notes. It works by auto-converting MuseScore files into PDF (or MusicXML) and rendering an embed link like ![[sheet music.mscz]] as if it were a PDF embed. You can click the link to open the original file in MuseScore for further editing.
