Former President Donald Trump said Saturday he would not debate Vice President Kamala Harris at all if she did not agree to attend a new Fox News debate next month, the latest in the public jockeying between the campaigns over when, if ever, the two candidates will meet on stage.
No, if he shows up at the last minute, and complies with the pre-negotiated terms, they should let him in. If he shows up at the last minute and complains about he fact-checkers or the moderators or the lack of couches, to try to renegotiate things at the last minute, they should just tell him to pound sand.
Then he’ll say that Crooked Kamala & the Fake News Media™ (great band name, btw) wouldn’t let him in the debate because they were scared to debate him!
His base would eat that shit up, not realizing that he’s basically trying to bring a bowling ball to a basketball game, taking his ball & going home, then complaining that no one will let him play.
Right, that’s when you just ignore his tantrum and go on and have the debate without him. His base is not gonna listen to reason, no matter what. Harris’s goal should be to persuade the people who are not down the rabbit hole to show up.
I hope he tries to make a last minute appearance and gets turned away.
