Im out on adventure! I left my high desert for Kentucky and got the piss taken out of me by the humidity right away.
It was my birthday yesterday so we started in Louisville and had a delicious lunch at Main St Eats, then we went to an art museum, photographed a giant golden pp, and took a sweaty walk down by the river. Next we went to the Mega Cave Neon Zip Line Tour. My first time zip lining - I was definitely at the edge of my tolerance for fear and heights! So cool though, zip lining through the darkness with neon lights and rave music was a once in a lifetime experience. I swear some of the rope bridges were scarier than the zip line though. At dinner I also saw a delightful little red cardinal for the first time and it was amazing to me.
More adventure lies ahead - tonight we are taking a star light tour in Mammoth Caves.
Enjoy the Mammoth caves! I went as a kid and it was a lot of fun. If I remember right, though, the humidity only gets worse in there…
It certainly is a big change going from dry heat to the humid summers of that region, but depending on how long you’re there it can do wonders for skin and hair so hopefully you get to at least enjoy that perk for a little bit
