Old, but seems relevant

I don’t think the meme itself was the issue, but the discussion therein. Speculating on the motive, I mentioned the oath military and feds are required to take, and that it advocates violence… I probably shouldn’t elaborate or I’ll risk a ban here too…

I was hoping that the admins on Lemmy aren’t the same type of shitheads like the bad ones from Reddit were, yet here we are.

World is the largest instance, so I understand them having an abundance of caution. Can always post on a smaller instance that doesn’t give a shit.

It’s weird that those were the posts they took issue with. I’ve been pretty vocal about not giving a damn about Nazi lives, former president Agent Orange included… but discussing federal oaths and their implications is what crossed the line?

I can understand the admins being on high alert after an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate though, so… whatever, I’ll just eat the ban and shitpost in other communities instead.

Yeah, the oath calls to defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. Not really your fault if someone claims that advocates for violence because it’s not you issuing a specific and legal order. Doesn’t say anything about protecting the government I suppose.
