Not that I’m itching to get back on Reddit, but instead curious on your thoughts given the bits of information that have trickled out about CEO’s position in this “negotiation”.I hope this is temporary. The flashlight community on reddit is truly amazing.
It’s intended to be temporary, but I think recent events mean that Reddit is on a decline from which it will never recover its former glory. I’d like to see things move on to decentralized options precisely because it’s difficult or impossible to rebuild a community like /r/flashlight.
I honestly feel that now is a good time to shift to decentralized services. It’s definitely not an easy task to transfer a whole community, but I guess we should try.
