She’s a woman and black. It was mostly pandering to the left. Who would be better than her? I don’t really know. Maybe Pete? Possibly AOC? The democratic party is really lacking good young charismatic leaders. The old guard refuses to bring up and support more young up and comers.
Actually typing this made me remeber Adam Schiff. I really like him ever since he stood up to Trumps corruption.
I wonder if AOC would be a point of contention for swing voters though. She’s obviously great and very competent, but that has put a target on her back that has given her press that could be deterimental to a presidential candidate. Though I suppose that goes for all presidential candidates

AOC doesn’t qualify due to age. She would certainly be an exciting candidate. Perhaps in 10 years she would be a viable candidate.
