In a deep dive into what the future holds for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) now that she has hit a major bump in the road after she failed attempt to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Republicans in Georgia wonder if she may be stuck where she is, with a run for governor or a U.S. Senate ...
She serves as a distraction, so other Republicans can get away with things that seem tame compared to the drama she’s stirring up. It’s just misdirection; otherwise, Republicans would’ve ousted her themselves for hurting their party.
Remember when Mitch McConnell was in the news constantly for deliberately halting progress to serve his party’s goals? We don’t even hear about him anymore; not since Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert took center stage in the shitshow.
Exactly this
They’re loud distractions that say a whole lot of nothing (though the stuff they say is concerning) really loudly and non-stop.
Bingo. Snag headlines and keep the liberals outraged and no one will notice the other evil shit happening
We’ve heard less about him for the last 4 years… Partly because of others taking the stage, maybe, but also because he became Senate minority leader. There’s a lot less to be done in that position, and I think he knows it.
McConnell’s also looked like he’s already dead and starting to decay in every picture I’ve seen of him lately.
I’m starting to think it’s a Weekend at Bernie’s situation.
