Obligatory i enjoy the game and have a character nearing 100. It seems like every valid critique of the game is shot down in the diablo4 sub by people insulting arpg grinders. Quirky posts with 10k upvotes going “i dont see the problems im a normal guy i play 2 hours a week and am in t2 havin so much fun”. If youre so casual why are you browsing game forums? It all seems so fake

If youre so casual why are you browsing game forums?

Because I can browse game forums while working? Or while trying to get my daughter to sleep. It’s much more difficult to find uninterrupted time to actually game.

And of course casuals will want changes to the game that benefit them, just as the grinders want changes that benefit them.

That subreddit is definitely not shy to critique the game…

I play casually and just finished act 1. You don’t have to be a sweat to be able to read and participate in game forms. It’s fun for me to read about other people’s experience and it gives me something to look forward to when I can’t play.

It’s probably people being frustrated and wanting a more casually geared general discussion of the game rather than hear what’s wrong with an aspect that realistically a small percentage of the player base is experiencing.

Also reddit hyperbolises like a mother fucker. Just my 2c

Why should anyone care what someone who is in act 1 think about the endgame? If youre not in the endgame why mass downvote and tell people theyre wrong if you havent had the chance to experience the issues?

I think its normal for big game releases for people to write polarising stuff, just Reddit things. Seen it happen so often. I don‘t even read posts like this usually.

Man, we have opposite takes on that subreddit lol. I feel like since launch it’s been 90% negative.

I think it’s fine to critique the game, but it’s also important to remember that the game just launched - we haven’t even hit season 1 yet. Compared to previous titles at launch, there is much more end game content.

In all fairness, I’m not as far in as you (around 67). Still loving the game though, excited for season one and taking a new class into end game.
