Investigate donations to those MO House members voting for this bullshit. Smells like Bayer Bribes, since this doesn’t benefit the citizens of MO at all.

Try reading Blaine’s FB page and then imagine the only way to be rid of him was his retirement, and knowing he’ll likely be replaced with the same or worse.

Can’t wait to get my family back out of this shithole state. KC, StL, Columbia, and Springfield are ok but the rest of the state are loud and proud white trash MAGATS steadily voting to fuck over the population centers where all the atate funds come from.

This state is so bad the only way we see progress is with ballot initiatives where gerrymanderign can’t defeat the popular vote. And guess what the MO house and senate are working on right now. Yep, making ballot initiatives harder to pass.

Saint Louis has been held back as a city for decades because StL city is in StL county and is prone to the state legislature’s fuckery. Like when StL raised the minimum wage for the city. State blocked it because…they could.

The governmental structure of the City of St. Louis is unusual in the United States. Since 1876, St. Louis has been an independent city, meaning it is not part of any county. St. Louis operates as both a city and a county. St. Louis is the only city in Missouri which operates its own “county” offices. St. Louis is a home rule city, but it is not a home rule county, thus county functions and offices are subject to state restrictions on county governments.

I’m trying to get out, but it’ll likely be a while. Thankfully I apparently give off hick vibes, so I’m not personally treated too bad, but the majority of my friends are.

And they wonder why young people are leaving in droves.

I think the NRA got Ted Cruz for @ $25,000. At least what is publicly available. I’ve seen as low as $10,000 in campaign donations. Like, that’s not even a new car, to betray humanity.

They employ a lot of people in the St. Louis area. They bring a lot of high paying jobs to the area and the government likes that.

Not sure why you are being down-voted. It doesn’t have to be bribes that causes a person to vote some way. Just bringing a shitload of jobs to an area would cause a politician to vote a certain way. Because jobs makes voters happy, and happy voters would vote for that person again, so they stay in power.

Monsanto spent decades knowingly murdering customers, spent millions hiding their murders, and to this day they won’t even accept responsibility for their murder spree - let alone show remorse.

People have suffered the agony of botched executions for far less than that. There are determined committers of genocide with lower body-counts than monsanto executives.

Deny justice long enough, and people will get their own brand of justice in the worst way possible.

This is not advocating for violence against the people involved in the creation of this product, despite them murdering us through the economic system.

Just stating a fact of life.

Imo, companies being concerned about class actions if everyone had access to Healthcare, is THE REASON we do not have Healthcare for all in this country. Imagine how many more Flint, MI, there are, but no one knows because none of them can afford to see a doctor.

Bayer was also an equally immoral company before it bought Monsanto. What the buyout did was open opportunities for groups seeking legal action against Monsanto.

If you asked for a drink that’s different and unusual and I suggested bleach, that would be out of line, mostly because it would kill you. There are drinks that are different that won’t. How many unmoderated social media sites are there that aren’t as toxic as Voat? Twitter?

Meh, let them put me there and see how uninteresting my life really is. Plus, this statement began “if I had cancer” which I am currently unaware of having. So if I ended up with cancer we caused by weedkillers, then there is a problem, but that’s a highly unlikely situation. Hell, if I had cancer it would be from 20 years of smoking cigs (which I did quit, but it could still happen). And at that point, you can’t really sue the cig companies, not because of law, but the fact that cigs cause cancer is such general knowledge, that it really comes down to personal choice and stupidity to do so… man I miss cigs 😪.

You dont miss cigs. You miss nicotine. Nicotine is 7 times more addictive than heroin. Your brain is still wired to crave it.

Well, I vape with nicotine damn near constantly. I miss the weight of the smoke in the lungs, I miss the pressure to make sure I get sufficient drags in while burning one because it will just burn away or go out if you don’t. These among other factors show that it’s legitimately the cigs that I miss. Mind you there’s a lot I don’t miss, like the stank on my fingers, clothes, and hair. I don’t miss “nic lips” which is the residue tar that builds up on the lips and in the mustache when you smoke a lot. And I definitely don’t necessarily miss the taste. So it’s a trade off for sure. But I know I do miss cigs overall.

If I wanted to file a lawsuit for Roundup giving me cancer, I dont have to file in Missouri. I can file in my home state where I got cancer from their product. Missouri’s laws don’t apply here.

The hilarity is that if you want a broad spectrum weedkiller for lawns you can just mix white vinegar and a cup of salt in a spray bottle (optionally add some dish detergent for adhesion). That shit will kill broadleaf weeds, grass, clover, you name it. And it won’t poison your dogs or give you cancer.
