As someone who isn’t just looking for a place to discuss digital piracy, but also look for friends and to slowly move away from Discord, should I use Revolt or Divolt? I can’t decide, and I don’t know if I can handle having both accounts.

If you want to keep it between your friends, use the main instance (revolt.chat) and setup a group chat/private server. Revolt’s AUP does not allow discussion or sharing of copyrighted material which divolt does. You can learn more at https://revolt.chat/aup.

Otherwise, feel free to contact us if you want to setup a community on divolt for everyone.

      ^^ This.

Unless all your friends are super into piracy, you should stay on Revolt. (And whenever I make NativeVolt public, you should be able to use two accounts, from different instances, at once.)

Would they care about casual discussion about piracy in Revolt or none at all, also is there any rules with the official element matrix instance?

Right, well I’ve made up my mind. That said, how do you synchronise Discord with Revolt (or in your case Divolt)? I’ve found a program called Revcord, but the instructions are a little ambiguous (doesn’t help that English isn’t my first language).

We also use Revcord as well, that said, you just need to install docker (or manually install without it) and follow the instructions.
